How to Use Bellringers for Daily Practice

What Are Bellringers?

Bellringers (also called warm-ups or do-nows) are short activities students complete at the start of class. Using Magoosh for bellringers:

  • Gets students immediately engaged
  • Provides consistent daily practice
  • Build skills incrementally over time
  • Requires no teacher preparation
How Students Access Quick Practice
  1. Students log into their Magoosh dashboard
  2. On the homepage, locate the My Performance section
  3. Click the Practice button below any section 
  4. Complete a set of 10 practice questions

  • Quick Practice takes about 5-7 minutes for 10 questions
  • Encourage students to spend time reviewing mistakes after each question they get wrong
  • Perfect for the start of class while taking attendance

Tracking Bellringer Completion

On your instructor portal:

  1. Navigate to the class or student view

  2. Click on the student you want to confirm

  3. Check the practice questions in their usage summary

  4. Here you can verify they have answered the required number and you can verify they have been active each day.
