How Students Access Their Account Without a Welcome Email

How do students access their Magoosh account if they did not receive the welcome email? Students who are enrolled automatically receive two emails: one confirming their enrollment and another prompting them to create their password.
What should be checked first?

If a student cannot access the account, first confirm that the email address is correct. If the student already had an account, try the previous password before taking other steps.

How can a student set or reset their password?

The student can use the Forgot Password feature on the login page. After entering the email address, an email is sent with instructions to reset the password and log in.

For students using these pages, the password reset links are:

  • ACT: https://act.magoosh.com/forgot_password
  • SAT: https://sat.magoosh.com/forgot_password
  • Note: If the password reset email does not arrive, ask the student to check their spam or junk mail folder before attempting any other steps.

Can the password be reset from the educator side?

Yes. The password can also be reset directly from the educator portal. After updating the student's login information, be sure to notify them directly so they can sign in with their new credentials.

Troubleshooting

If the welcome email was not received, use one of these access options:

  1. Confirm the email address is correct.
  2. Try the student’s previous password if they already had an account.
  3. Use Forgot Password to send a password reset email.
  4. Reset the password from the educator portal.
Summary

Students receive a welcome email and a password-creation email after enrollment. If those emails are not available, access can still be restored by using Forgot Password or by resetting the password from the educator portal.
