How to Create Instructor Accounts

There are two ways to create instructor accounts in Magoosh: when creating a new class, or directly from the instructors tab (admin only).

Adding Instructors When Creating a Class

1. Click to create a class 

   

2. In the instructor section, click New Instructors

3. Enter the instructors email address
4. Enter their first and last name
5. Add as many teachers that need access to the class
6. Click Add Selected Instructors and complete the class creation

Creating Instructors Directly (Admins Only)

1. If you have admin access, click on the Instructors tab

2. Click on the purple assign instructor button

   

3. Click on New Instructor

4. Enter the email address and name of the instructor

5. Assign them to one or more classes

   

6. Click Assign Instructors to complete

What New Instructors Receive

When you create an instructor account:

• They receive a welcome email with login information
• The email contains a link to set their password
• They'll have immediate access to their assigned classes

Instructor Permissions

• Instructors can manage their assigned classes and create new classes
• Admins can view all classes and create new instructors

Troubleshooting

• Instructor didn't receive welcome email
  • Check spam/junk folder
  • Verify the email address was entered correctly
  • Have them attempt to sign in and select Forgot Password
• Can't find the Instructors tab
  • This feature requires admin access
  • Contact your account rep or use help on this page to request access
• Trying to add an instructor to an existing class
  • This is only a feature for admins
  • You can reach out to your account rep and provide the name and email address for the teacher and the name of the class you'd like to have access to and we can complete this for you.
