How to Set Up Magoosh with Clever

Learn how to connect Magoosh to your Clever for automatic rostering and single sign-on.

Clever integration automates student and teacher account creation by syncing your school's roster data with Magoosh.

Getting Started with Clever

The setup process involves your district's Clever administrator:

  1. Share Data with Magoosh
    1. Your district needs to share roster data with the Magoosh ACT or SAT Clever app in Clever.
    2. Clever provides step-by-step instructions for sharing
    3. We strongly advise that you limit the data sharing to specific teachers and classes without sharing the data for the entire school.
  2. Use Share by Rules
    1. Clever offers a "share by rules" option that lets you select only the teachers, classes, and students who will be using Magoosh.
    2. Be sure to share the district, school, classes, teachers, and students who will be using Magoosh
  3. Magoosh Approves the Connection
    1. Once you share data, Magoosh will approve the data sharing request
    2. The initial sync completes within 24 hours
  4. After the Sync
    1. Classes are automatically created based on your Clever data
    2. Students and teachers can log in directly from Clever using the Magoosh app
    3. Rosters update automatically when changes are made in your SIS
    4. New students added in Clever appear in Magoosh automatically
Log In Via Clever
  • Students and teachers log in to their Clever portal
  • Click on the Magoosh ACT or SAT app
  • They're automatically signed into their Magoosh account and granted an account

 

Troubleshooting Clever Sync
  • Students or teachers missing
    • Verify they are included in the Clever sharing rules
    • Check that it's been more than 24 hours since they were added
    • Students will not show in Magoosh classes until they have logged on for the first time
    • Contact your Clever administrator to verify data sharing
  • Classes not appearing
    • Ensure the classes are included in the sharing rules
    • Verify the teacher is connected to the class in your SIS
  • Need help
    • Contact your account rep or support here at Magoosh to help verify any issues
